Language Training - In-Company Courses
RTS Trainers will implement your company programme in accordance with the personalised Training Plan of your employees, generated by a thorough, in-depth Needs Analysis during the initial testing phase. At the start of the course, the Trainer will already know the participant's strengths and weaknesses from a purely linguistic point of view and will also have a clear idea of the work-related language that needs to be studied, and for what purposes.
Here is a typical format for standard courses.
- 2 classes of 1.5 hours per week
- 100-120 class hours per year
- Course materials assigned are tailor-made. RTS' own finely-honed Business English Competency modules are assigned on the basis of specific needs.
- Progress evaluation: mini tests after every 9 hours of tuition; mid-course progress test; and end of course test.
- Monitoring: mid-course reports; end of course reports; and reports can also be issued, on request, on a monthly basis.
- Quality control: periodical questionnaires sent to the client; and RTS Director of Programming observes lessons.
- Courses generally take place in-company, but should the client wish to send participants to RTS premises, our schools are centrally-located.
There are two main advantages of adopting this solution:
- Participants have more time to absorb language input.
- Participants generally have the opportunity to try out new language in a real work situation between one lesson and the next. This means that the participant can give the Trainer feedback on how he/she performed with the new language, and the Trainer can consequently offer further help as necessary in that particular language area.
- Participants have time to identify their own learning styles and to develop personalised learning strategies.
It is recommended with this format, to increase total weekly exposure, that participants do some integrated home study on the days they do not have a lesson. RTS Trainers will be able to provide participants with guidance and strategies to help them extend the learning experience outside the training room. |
